Deep Dive into Alarmy Missions — Part 1
Alarmy, the global mission alarm app waking up 50 million users worldwide every morning!
What’s the secret behind being loved for so long by people all over the world, across different cultures and languages?
Even though users have their own favorite features, the number one strength that everyone universally praises is
our powerful mission alarms that "wake you up effectively while still being fun."
Shall we take a proper look at exactly what mission features we have? First, open up the Alarmy app.
(I'll be explaining this based on the iPhone version today! 😆)
The first thing you see is our clean and intuitive home screen. You can instantly check how many hours are left until your set alarm rings right at the top, which is great for getting your mind straight when you can't sleep. (Wait, I only have 4 hours left?! I need to sleep now!)
From the home screen, you can add or delete alarms, and tap an alarm to jump into the alarm editor.
Once you're in the alarm editor, you can set various features for that alarm, including missions. If you tap the mission section, a mission list will appear like the one below.
I chose the Memory Game, which forces me to move my hands intuitively even when I'm half asleep.
Mission #1. 👀 The eye-opening mission alarm, Memory Game!
The Memory Game might look like a simple puzzle at first glance, but depending on the number of tiles, it requires intense concentration. Trying to track the flipped tiles in your sleep can get so confusing that you'll feel like your fingers aren't even your own. 🤣
If you're not sure how many rounds it will take to wake you up or what difficulty level to set, you can easily figure it out by testing it with the alarm preview.
Wow! Looks pretty tough, right? I set it to the 'Easy' difficulty for just two rounds to wake up with an appropriate amount of suffering. Of course, on days when I'm exhausted, I definitely need some extra reinforcements.
Mission #2. 🧮 The mind-clearing mission alarm, Math Problems!
The Math Problem mission is a clever mission feature that snaps your brain to attention the moment you wake up. While calculating in your head to turn off the alarm, you might even experience the miracle of accidentally improving your mental math skills. 🤣
Among hardcore Alarmy users, some solve as many as 99 math problems until they fully wake up, while others conquer their mornings with the insanely difficult Hell Mode. If it's your first time, setting it to Normal for 3 problems or Hard for 2 problems should do the trick to wake you up reliably.
Mission #4. 💊 The mission alarm that handles your daily to-dos, QR/Barcode!
The QR/Barcode mission lets you dismiss your alarm by scanning the barcode or QR code of a specific item you've set in advance. It’s incredibly useful if you register the barcode of supplements you need to take daily or a book you want to read in the morning.
I entered the barcode of my daily vitamins like this. One thing to watch out for is that you absolutely must remember to set a new barcode when you switch to a new book or toss out an empty supplement bottle. Don't just absentmindedly throw it away! 😅
Mission #5. 🤳 The ultimate forced wake-up! The body-moving mission alarm, Shake!
Next up is the final mission in Part 1 of our Alarmy mission feature: the Shake mission. This one also has a huge base of loyal fans. Because you have to shake your phone frantically to turn off the alarm, it actively physically wakes up your body. If you set the intensity to the highest level, you'll literally have to dance with incredible power to get the alarm to stop. Rumor has it that it builds arm muscles and doubles as a diet workout. 🤣
👆 Other neat features!

You can bulk-select weekdays and weekends inside the alarm editor. If you want to maintain a regular morning routine even on your days off, we highly recommend setting a weekend alarm. 😌
