DelightRoom's Wise Cat Butler Life (feat. 11 Cats)

DelightRoom, the creator of 'Alarmy' that takes care of the mornings for users worldwide, happens to have an unusual number of cat butlers. For our cute feline masters, our butler Delighters have to start their mornings more diligently than anyone else! Today, I'd like to introduce the 11 cats of DelightRoom and one precious cameo.

First, shall we head over to the house of Liz from the P&C group, who is in charge of DelightRoom's people, systems, and culture?

Bosong, an odd-eyed snowflake cat with charming pure white fur, is waiting for us! Bosong, a gentle cat who has become the best friend to Liz's youngest junior butler, is said to never let out a single 'meow' even when startled or playing an intense hunting game. When butler Delighter Liz is working from home, Bosong quietly comes up next to her and acts cute with a "stop working, meow" expression. Bosong is a cat brought in as a surprise pick by the youngest butler. Rumor has it that Liz touched what she thought was a stuffed animal in the house, only to almost faint when the toy started moving and came alive. (Haha)

Bosong

Age: 2 years old

Gender: Male (formerly)

Characteristics:

• A gentle cat that never even makes a single meow sound

• The best friend of the baby butler

• A charmer with odd eyes and pure white fur like a snowflake

Next up, the home of butler Delighter Chan is a multi-cat household where three cats live huddled together.

As the Product Operations person connecting users and DelightRoom, Chan seeks harmony and peace between the cat world and the human world while serving three feline masters! Chan is the ultimate "flexer" when it comes to cats—rarely buying human clothes but generously providing top-tier cat towers, delicious food, and awesome toys. Living with Chan are sister cats Camus and Marie, and the lively youngest, Bomhee. Camus proves her beauty with a tuxedo coat and a beauty mark rivaling Marilyn Monroe's, while Marie, sporting a unique tortoiseshell pattern and edgy finger gloves, is her sister from the same litter; other than their coat colors, they boast a 100% synchronization rate. (Camus? If you're thinking of Albert Camus who wrote *The Stranger*, yes, that's exactly where the name comes from. 😉) The youngest, Bomhee, hasn't been living indoors for long since moving from the streets, so she hasn't quite gotten close to the butler yet, but she is slowly opening her heart. Isn't her luxurious cheetah-like coat just stunning?

Camus

Age: 5 years old

Gender: Female

Characteristics:

• Went from a wild cat that avoided human touch to a "dog-like" cuddly cat

• Tuxedo coat, charming beauty mark next to her nose! Cute bear-like ears

• An affectionate cat who runs over to knead whenever the butler sits or lies down

• The smallest in size but plays the big sister role, always grooming Marie and Bomhee

Marie

Age: 5 years old

Gender: Female

Characteristics:

• A quiet cat, but answers loudly to "Should we eat?"

• A one-of-a-kind tortoiseshell, cute bear-like ears

• Shows off purring + drooling skills when petted by the butler, but is secretly prone to loneliness

• Relies on her littermate Camus, but is still scared of Bomhee! (Getting closer, meow)

Bomhee

Age: 1 year old

Gender: Female

Characteristics:

• The wild youngest cat who is still not used to human touch

• A lanky cheetah with a full mackerel tabby coat and black toe beans, one-and-only eyes, and large ears

• Torn between the fear of the butler vs. liking being petted

• A baby who bravely runs around even after getting scolded for getting too in the older sisters' faces because she likes them

The next place we'll visit is the home of engineer Chris, who leads iOS app development and infrastructure.

At Chris's house live an affectionate mother and daughter, Sangchu and Tangee. Sangchu and Tangee are 10 and 8 years old, respectively, making them older among the DelightRoom feline friends, but they are white beauties showing off such youthful looks that you'd never guess their age if you weren't told. The secret to their youthful appearance is apparently eating lettuce (Sangchu)!! The mother cat, Sangchu, is actually the active one bursting with hunting instincts, while the gentle Tangee pulls a "I'm bothered, meow" move unless she's moving to claim her Churu treats. Oh, and "Tangee" is a cute name given to her because she looks like cotton candy (somsatang)!

Sangchu

Age: 10 years old

Gender: Female

Characteristics:

• Uniquely loves lettuce, hence the name Sangchu (lettuce in Korean)

• An affectionate "dog-cat" who loves getting petted next to or on top of (?) humans

• Grooms Tangee like the mother she is, but they always bicker

• Surprisingly full of hunting instincts. Many feather toys, straws, and rubber bands have fallen victim to her so far

Tangee

Age: 8 years old

Gender: Female

Characteristics:

• Is this a cotton candy or a cat?

• Doesn't easily allow petting, but once she gets close, she purrs and enjoys massages

• A gentle cat just like her looks, equipped with laziness rather than hunting instincts

• But in front of Churu, she does a 180 and charges in, inhaling it like a vacuum cleaner

Kai

Age: 1.5 years old

Gender: Male

Characteristics:

• Usually the king of curiosity, but a scaredy-cat who hides under the sofa for 30 minutes and can't come out when the doorbell rings

• An 8kg giant cat that even shocked the vet (not obese, meow!)

• A super affectionate cat who shouts purrs + power kneads, and then flops over to show his belly (twice the size of Mochi but still a baby, meow!)

• An absolute aristocat who always has to rest one arm on something (the butler's pillow exists to be stolen, meow)

• The persistent youngest who tirelessly follows Mochi around even though Mochi hits him every day

The cats to be introduced next are study-abroad kitties who went all the way across the water to Germany. (Guten Morgen-meow 🐈)

Ray and Kkomkkom, the family of Product Designer Christine who lived in Germany, are cool cats who know how to politely ride an airplane. Ray, a well-managed cat who even went on a diet to fit into the standard kennel cage, is also a maintainer who has been keeping up his physique excellently since the diet. (Better than a human, meow…!) The timid Ray doesn't show his face when unfamiliar guests arrive, but he reportedly becomes a brave chatterbox in front of food. His gray coat reminiscent of a Russian Blue is really awesome! Mackerel tabby Kkomkkom, meticulously wearing white socks, is quiet unlike Ray but is a curiosity captain overflowing with energy. Anyone want to play a hunting game with the affectionate "dog-cat" Kkomkkom who rubs her cheeks against everyone!? (Bom, Jade!!?)

Ray

Age: 4 years old

Gender: Male

Characteristics:

• A very timid kitty who becomes the bravest in front of food

• Incredible food greed. Shouts until you give him food

• A very talkative chatterbox

• So timid that he hides and absolutely never comes out when meeting unfamiliar people

Kkomkkom

Age: 3 years old

Gender: Female

Characteristics:

• An energetic and affectionate "dog-cat"

• A "dog-cat" who doesn't hesitate to act cute even to strangers

• Overflowing with both curiosity and energy

• Contrary to Ray, she doesn't talk much

Shall we meet a Seoul native master this time?

In the home of iOS engineer Smis, the 'Swift Man in Seoul' who loves a healthy food culture and playing the guitar, lives a very, very cute ginger cat named Nono. Nono, who became 'Nono' because he is so yellow ('norang' in Korean), is an affectionate cat boasting a youthful look that doesn't seem like a four-year-old. Usually enjoying the guitar melodies played by Smis, Nono is an urban cat who loves new things! He originally always had a cat housemate, and they say this is the first home where he is living as an only child. Unlike Joy's ginger cat Kai who has cream around his mouth, Nono has cream on his nose and is a cool guy who even knows how to wink. Online butlers who want to receive Nono's wink, please line up now!

Nono

Age: 4 years old

Gender: Male

Characteristics:

• A total "dog-cat"

• Lots of curiosity

• Loves new items

So far, we've met 11 of DelightRoom's cats, but there is still a special cameo left!

The star is none other than Coco, who lives with Soo, the sole female engineer of the Android group. (Mama Coco!?) Coco is a 19-year-old long-lived dog and the only pupper at DelightRoom. Raised by Soo since she was an elementary school student, Coco is smart and bubbly, having stayed by her side to help Soo grow into a bright, positive engineer. The alluring-eyed Coco's curly fur and black pupils are her charm points. Because she is a grandma dog who is over 100 in human years, she has to be very careful with the walks she used to love so much, and her eyesight isn't very good either. We hope she stays healthy for a long, long time as the eldest of the DelightRoom animal friends by her beloved big sister Soo's side.

Coco

Age: 19 years old

Gender: Female

Characteristics:

• Grandma dog who has lived together since elementary school

• Loved walks but now she can't see very well, sob

• Smarty-pants pupper

• Total mama's girl

• Let's live long with big sis

DelightRoom will protect the work-life balance of pet parents!

All of DelightRoom's benefits and systems are also showing their effectiveness in protecting the precious pet families of our Delighters. As pet cats and dogs age, they need to visit the vet more often. When they need health check-ups or precise diagnoses, the hospitals pet owners can go to are surprisingly limited. Since making appointments is tricky, DelightRoom's flexible working hours and unlimited PTO policies have been a huge help in maintaining the work-life balance of pet households. Especially since schedules can be flexibly adjusted outside the core working hours of 11 AM to 4 PM, it seems our 11 cats and Coco can receive timely medical care and stay even healthier.

How did you enjoy this time getting a peek into the butler lives of Delighters and the 12 pet families of DelightRoom? In DelightRoom, where not only butlers but also online butlers are happy, all sorts of info and sharing are running wild (?) today too.
